Safety Tips
Barcelona is a safe city. However, like most large cities, it is important to be aware of possible scams and keep in mind some safety tips:

1. Be aware of pickpockets: Barcelona is known for its pickpocketing problem, especially in tourist areas. Keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded areas like metro stations and tourist attractions.
2. Avoid dark and isolated areas: Barcelona is generally a safe city, but like any big city, there are some areas that can be unsafe, especially at night. Avoid dark and isolated areas, especially if you're alone.
3. Keep important documents safe: Make sure to keep important documents like your passport and ID in a safe place, like a hotel safe. Don't carry them around with you unless necessary, and always keep a copy in case of loss or theft.
4. Be aware of scams: Barcelona has its fair share of scams, including the "bracelet scam" and the "fake police officer" scam. Be aware of these scams and don't engage with anyone who seems suspicious or overly pushy. If in doubt, seek assistance from a legitimate authority or tourist information center.
